The International Centre for Leadership Results in collaboration with Gettysburg College Executive Director
Steve Cochran is the founding executive director of the International Centre for Leadership Results, a non-profit partnership in collaboration with Gettysburg College. The Centre offers extraordinary opportunities to accomplish specific, measurable results in service of personal and organizational mission. Steve serves as the interim Steward of the United States Partnership for the Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (www.uspartnership.org), leveraging the United Nations decade for sustainable development (2005-2014) in the U.S. Previously, he served as Vice President for Technology at the Council for Excellence in Government, in Washington DC. In that capacity he created the "Technology Leadership Consortium", a collaboration of private, public and social sector organizations leveraging the understanding and use of information and communication technology as leadership tools serving government mission. During his six years at the Council, he helped develop, and served as Senior Coach for the nationally-recognized "Excellence in Government Fellows" leadership development program. In that capacity he coached hundreds of Fellows from across the country and across the government; helping them accomplish specific, measurable results in service of organizational mission. His interest, enthusiasm, and respect for the outcomes of this important work led him to found the Centre he currently directs. Earlier in his career he developed, managed, and directed federal contracting interests of AT&T, Booz Allen & Hamilton, Centel Corporation, and EDS. He has directed major projects for defense and civilian agencies of the government, The White House, The House of Representatives, The Library of Congress, and The Supreme Court. In public service, he was the Director of Procurement at the United States Synthetic Fuels Corporation during its brief but exciting life in the 1980's. In addition to continuing to serve as a Principal of the Council for Excellence in Government, Steve is a member of the Technology Advisory Committee of the American Council on Education, and is on the Board of Advisors of the Digital Government Institute. In 2001 he became a founding director of the International Centre for e-Governance, in Edinburgh Scotland, a non-profit organization partnered with BT and the Scottish Council Foundation. Steve was educated at Ohio State University, and The George Washington University in Washington DC. He lives with his family on a fruit farm near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Steve Cochran. |
